Junkyard Pottery

The Entrance To Junkyard Pottery

Junkyard Pottery is a studio/shop creating functional stoneware items from spoon rests to decorative vases. This is a 2-person operation with Carol throwing clay on the wheel and Dave making and applying glazer and firing the electric kilns. We use clay (from PA) that fires in the mid-range (2250°F) and is quite durable and, we think, quite attractive. The studio/shop is located on the west side of the Beaver Creek Wilderness adjacent to Daniel Boone Forest, and we can act as tour/hiking advisors. We have been in business for 6 years and really enjoy where we are and what we do. In addition to our pottery we locally make baskets for sale.
