John holds a Master
of Fine Arts degree from Southern Illinois University and has
taught folks of all ages through public demonstrations and community
classes. Sue Martin combines intricate patterns and vibrant colors
to create her spectacular decorative weavings. Her mixed medium
weavings of fiber and clay accentuate an unique ability to successfully
combine the intensity of Raku with the hand-dyed fiber.
The Martins are actively involved with local crafts organizations,
serving on boards and hosting workshops within their community.
Together, their work has received numerous excellence awards and
has been recognized at nationally juried shows, exhibits, fairs,
galleries, and private collections throughout the globe.
