Cultural Arts For Young People

The Picture of a performance

CULTURAL ARTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE is a series for young people. At the Mountain Arts Center, school aged children can experience a wide range of professional theater and arts programming in Floyd County. Each year the Center presents the Series for Young People which includes theatrical performances, dance, classical music, and motivational presentations. Student matinees are supplemented with teachers' guides and post-performance discussions with performers.

Up Close and Personal Arts Program
Many students have never seen the backstage area of a working theater nor visited an art gallery. Recognizing this, the Mountain Arts Center has created a program called Up Close and Personal Tours. For a modest fee, class size groups of students are guided through the Center by a member of our staff and have the opportunity to experience the magic of theatre both on and off stage. Call us for more details.
