Cozy Corner

The picture of the quilts

Josephine Richardson fell in love with eastern Kentucky and its crafts in the late sixties. Since 1969, she has been buying and selling regional items such as folk art, quilts, and books. She has discovered many local quiltmakers. She admires the exquisite needlework that is in each quilt she sells at the Cozy Corner. All the quilts are sold at the Cozy Corner are hand pieced and hand-quilted, and the prices are reasonable priced for the amount of work involved. The quilts are quite often the items that most people comment on first. Just a look around and you will see folk art, wood carving that runs the gamut from an elongated Ichabod Crane of a rooster to primitive figures made of pine, oak, and poplar. While you are trying to decide just what to buy you can head over to the other side of the shop to dine at the Courthouse Cafe.
